Vasilis Karageorgiou & Constantinos Miamis - From a surfer's point of view
Their joint photographic exhibition titled "From a surfer’s point of view" travels to the places where they found themselves and their friends after endless miles of driving to achieve the ideal conditions and enjoy their favorite activity, surfing.
He has been involved with adventure sports since the early 1980s. Racing sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, BMX, snowboarding, wakeboard are some of the sports that he has been dealing with since he was a child. Over the past 15 years, surf has monopolized his free time, when he is in a constant search for waves in Greece and around the world. Dealing with photography came also very early, as it was the means of recording that effort. The equipment and the photographic knowledge are of an amateur level, so, along with boards, uniforms, finches, candles, the camera backpack is always included.
He was born and raised in the western Peloponnese, where contact with nature was intense and continuous since his early childhood. There was also the first contact with surfing.
Later, in Athens as a student, traveling inside and outside of Greece, he discovered the mountain and its beauties, but the sea was always where he returned. So, in the last 10-12 years he is trying to be in the right place at the right time. Surfboards, wetsuits, waxes are the basic equipment, as well as a camera because inevitably he desires to photograph the waves, his friends riding them, the landscapes and the weather changes.
Moments unique and magical!
