Dimitris Bourazanis - Vol Bivouac, journey to the unknown!

Getting acquainted with a rather obscure sport, paragliding or parapente, its development over the last few decades and the efforts made to cross large mountainous paragliding complexes.

Dimitris Bourazanis was born in 1967 in Athens. He is an EOOA Trainer, Mountain Guide, and a member of the Association of Greek Mountain Guides (SEOB).

He participated in four mountaineering missions in the Himalayas, made the first Greek repetition of the mission on the northern Eiger hill, two routes on the northern slopes of Matterhorn, has participated on the winter mission of the northern slopes of Droites, and many more routes in Greece, the Alps etc.

He has been paragliding for about 15 years. He has achieved the largest open-air paragliding in Greece, about 200km from Konitsa, Ioannina to Nafpaktos.

He holds the paragliding altitude record, of a Greek pilot, with 4300m in Greece (Tzoumerka), 5200 in the Alps (above Mont Blanc) and 6500m in the Himalayas, in an attempt to cross a large part of the Himalayas through paragliding, which came to a stop due to a serious accident of a member of the team.

He lives in Karpenissi, is married and has a daughter.
